How to Overcome Zoom Fatigue

Staring at the computer all day on Zooms can be exhausting! You are not alone. Here are ways you can overcome the fatigue.

1

MINDFULNESS APPS

Turn to mindfulness apps that offer mindfulness and breathing exercises that can help you take the break you need when your eyes need a break.

2

GET OUTDOORS

Your eyes need a break! Even if you have to take your computer outside, try to get some sunlight on you and change your environment to energize you.

3

SHORTEN THE MEETINGS

Shorten your meetings to be 15-20 minutes rather than 30 minutes. This will help everyone get to the point and can free up some time so you aren't staring at your computer.

4

WALK AND TALK

Normalize taking your meetings as you are walking outside. Walking has been shown to promote creative thinking and processing of thoughts.

5

TURN OFF VIDEO

It can fatigue our brains when we are constantly looking at ourselves on Zoom camera all day. It takes quite a bit of cognitive load! Suggest taking voice meetings with video off from time to time.
