Are you interested in staying fit whilst also focusing on your inner self? You won’t have a hard time finding excellent yoga studios in Los Angeles! I’m not going to lie – it was VERY hard to choose seven winners. However, it had to be done! I’ve made a list of my absolute favorite studios to get my downward dog on.
Yoga House (Pasadena)

Ok, ok. This studio might be a tad bit outside of LA, but the drive/train ride is 1000% worth it. If you want to try yoga in LA, then Yoga House is the #1 place to try it. This intimate studio offers many different types of yoga, including Vinyasa and Ashtanga. With a laid-back vibe, you don’t have to worry if you are a beginner or intermediate yogi, everyone is welcome!
Pro Tip: For first-time students they offer the first week free to LA residents!

Located in a prime location on Barrington Avenue, Yogaraj offers yoga classes ranging from vinyasa, yin/yang, and restorative. Want to work on a specific pose? They have regular workshops for that, just check their schedule beforehand. The studio’s slogan is “No frills, no fads, just yoga.” Isn’t that what we are all looking for?

D&A Flying Yoga/Bungee Fitness/Pole Dance (Koreatown)
View this post on Instagram
This yoga studio might not be as well known as the others, but it definitely deserves the spotlight! The classes here are more “diverse” than your traditional studio. You can try out Flying Yoga or take a Pole class! D&A describe their flying yoga classes as “a full body workout and stretch designed to help release the kinks from the spine, alleviate muscle tension, tone and elongate your muscles, mobilize and hydrate compressed joints and extend your flexibility.” Basically, if you want to get fit, become a regular at their flying yoga classes.

Hot 8 Yoga (Koreatown)

There are actually many different locations of Hot 8 Yoga in LA, but this review and recommendation is specifically for the Koreatown location. Hot 8 Yoga is not for the faint of heart. In my first few classes, I had to leave the room several times because I found the heat unbearable. BUT, after a few more classes, I was able to get the hang of it. I would recommend trying their “Power’ class, and let me know if you survive!

In conclusion, those are my top picks for yoga studios in Los Angeles! What are your top choices? Did I miss any that are worth mentioning? Let me know in the comments below!
Kaitlin is a travel writer and marketing consultant. On any given day, you can find her surfing, reading, and/or on the eternal search for the cutest cafes (with tons of power sockets, of course).
What a great list! My favorite yoga studio when I visit is Yoga NoHo in North Hollywood.
