Living in Downtown Los Angeles, there aren’t too many boutique spin studios close by, so I was so excited to hear when Bespoke Cycling Studio at the 7th and Fig shopping complex opened earlier this year.
Spinning is one of those awesome, high-intensity cardio workouts that will always leave you with a high. Working out doesn’t always have to feel tedious or an obligation. It should be fun! Find what works for you and you will have a higher chance of consistency and success to your healthy lifestyle journey.
Class: Sculpt (45 minutes of spin incorporating weights). The studio offers 2, 3, and 5 pounders. If you typically go for 2 pounds, try pushing yourself to the 3. You want to feel a little sore 😛
There are other classes that don’t incorporate weights but I personally like making sure to get a light arm workout in.
No pain, no gain: Sore factor in the glutes, hammies, quads, back, triceps (when taking sculpt.
Amenities:
- Water station with cold and hot water temps available
- Showers
- Free lockers
- Body lotion, deodorant, hair ties, q-tips, the bathroom essentials
Parking: They provide free parking for up to one hour with validation (Leave 5-10 minutes to make it to class on time. The parking structure can get a bit congested at night)
Tips:
- If you love a good dance session incorporated into your spin classes, I highly recommend Peter! I take his class on Mondays to get my week started off right and/or Fridays to kick off the weekend with a party 🙂 Amanda is also heavy on the dancing and she really encourages you to go for it! She also incorporates positive and uplifting messages that really get you digging deep into your soul.
- If you have some time before or after class, there’s a ton of stores you’d have fun going into…Zara, H&M, Victoria’s Secret, Target…avoid the Sprinkles Cupcakes though! 😉
