If you enjoyed our previous post highlighting the top 5 trendy fitness studios in Vancouver, get ready for Part 2, where we’re adding even more exciting options for you! I attended a majority of these classes with a workout buddy, and I can’t stress enough how much it has changed my approach. Working out with a friend can significantly reduce the intimidation factor of trying a new class, as you have a trusted companion who’s either doing it for the first time or is there to provide support and guidance. So, let’s get into these additional fitness studios and discover more ways to stay active!
Yogamaze Wellness Studio
Let’s begin with my most recent class which was at Yogamaze Wellness Studio, a very clean and cozy studio nestled in Richmond. This studio boasts a diverse range of classes and offers trial options for aerial yoga, wall rope yoga, wheel yoga, foundation yoga, and yogalates. My friend and I decided to venture into the world of aerial yoga for the first time, and I must say, I CANNOT wait to go back! The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, from the friendly students to the supportive instructor. We all shared a good laugh when one of us would get stuck in a pose mid-air. If you are looking for a challenge, I highly suggest trying out aerial yoga as it’s a workout that’s focused more on breath control and enhancing flexibility.

Tantra Fitness
If you’re on the hunt for a fun girls’ night out or even a bachelorette party idea, you will definitely want to look into Tantra Fitness! At Tantra Fitness, inclusivity is a core value of the studio. It is an all-inclusive community, fostering an environment of mutual respect and acceptance, regardless of race or gender identity. I took a pole dancing class here with one of my girlfriends, and it was SO fun! Anyone who claims that pole dancing isn’t a workout is completely mistaken and should definitely give this class a shot themselves. In the first class, the instructor walks you through the fundamentals of pole dancing, teaching you how to spin on the pole, and then guides you through a short choreography. I can’t recommend this experience enough—it’s fun, empowering, and a fantastic way to spend quality time with friends while getting in a great workout!

Club Pilates
Club Pilates is a chain studio with several locations, which offers a unique workout experience that stands out from traditional mat pilates. Their classes feature Reformer-based group Pilates sessions, which are enhanced by the use of equipment like TriggerPoint, TRX® springboard, and the EXO-chair, all designed to help you develop strength, mobility, and stability.
After attending a class, I really appreciated the studio’s versatility. They provide a range of class levels and types tailored to individual fitness goals, allowing you to target specific areas or aspects of your fitness journey. Whether you’re looking to build core strength, increase flexibility, or improve overall mobility, Club Pilates offers a variety of options to suit your needs.
Tips:

- Water bottle
Many of these studios are available on Classpass. If you’re not familiar with Classpass, it’s a health and wellness studio aggregator that provides the health conscious person an opportunity to test and try out several studios (without a dedicated gym membership) to vary the workouts you experience in a month.
