Rather than thinking healthy grocery shopping is a chore or it will be difficult to make nutritious options, think of it as an adventure filled with new possibilities of health.

Start with produce

Load your cart up with colorful fruits and veggies so by the time you get to the cookie aisle, your cart is full. Crowd out nutrient empty food with whole, real food.

Read the ingredients

Sometimes the labels can be tricky so it's best practice to read the ingredients to make sure nothing you don't want is in the product.

Shop the bulk bins

Bulk bins are a great option to experiment with new grains and nuts in small batches. It is often times also cheaper!

Don't avoid the freezer

The freezer does have high sodium frozen dinners but it also has frozen berries and vegetables that can be a quick way to add nutrients to a smoothie or greens for your dinner.
