Last week I had the opportunity to visit Swissôtel Chicago with my friend, Britney, @fittybritttty!
This trip for work was a lot different than my previous work travel trips because I really prioritized my wellbeing, which is really how travel should be, always. As of last year, I was a management consultant and worked for a global consulting firm. I used to hop on a plane every Monday and come back home every Thursday. Rinse and repeat and through that process I ended up getting sick a lot! I wasn’t prioritizing my own health and wellness and ever since then I’ve realized, no matter where you are – at home in your routine or on the road traveling for work or pleasure, you need to keep your personal wellness in mind.
That’s why it’s so awesome that hospitality companies such as Swissôtel Chicago really do incorporate wellness into travel, and it’s a priority. They recently launched the Vitality Suite (aka suite that is literally double the size of my downtown loft lol). What’s so incredible about the suite is that it truly was designed for your body, mind, and soul.
It includes a Wellbeing Wall (IN SUITE) so you can literally get up from bed, walk just a few feet into the next room, and hop on a Peloton bike, use TRX bands, a water rower, or other gym equipment, all in the privacy of your own room. Swissôtel really does make it so easy for you to incorporate movement into your day. If you’re unfamiliar of how to really workout on your own, there is a screen where you can actually get exclusive exercise content that’s been specifically designed for your in room workouts. No excuses! 😛
[Modula id=’19’]Of course the Vitality Suite has the in suite wellness wall but if you book another room in the hotel, the fitness center that is for all hotel guests is absolutely INCREDIBLE. You can see the view in the photo above! That doesn’t even really do it justice because the gym truly has a panoramic view of the city, complete with skylights too so you get a ton of natural light.
After you’ve experienced all of the fitness aspects Swissôtel has to offer, there is also an exclusive refreshment center just for you in the suite, and there is also a special vitality menu complete with plant-based options like the incredible tofu hash scramble that I had.
In addition, when you’ve explored the city all day, your feet and body are tired, and all you want to do is relax back in your suite, you can come back and treat yourself in your suite! It comes with a bathroom full of bath bombs, Epsom salt, bubble bath, sleep kit, pillow mist, and in room essential oils. It’s the “little things” that really make a hotel stay so special.
Traveling shouldn’t be stressful on you and your body. It should be an extension of your home environment. Just because you aren’t in your own city or in your own bed, that doesn’t mean your wellness should go out the window. If you’re traveling to Chicago (which happens to be in my personal top U.S. cities to visit!) Swissôtel brings you a wellness experience to keep you healthy mind, body, and soul. 🙂
Thank you Swissôtel Chicago for sponsoring this trip. All content, thoughts, and opinions are my own!
